    We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual to fulfill the role of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager on our Corporate Accounting team.  Reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting, this role will be responsible for managing annual reports on Form 10-K and quarterly reports on Form 10-Q, including preparing and coordinating with legal and other internal stakeholders. In addition to these duties, this individual will also be responsible for the research and documentation for accounting of non-routine and complex transactions. This position requires strong organization skills, comfort with authoritative and interpretative accounting guidance, and experience documenting conclusions reached upon successful research of issues or new accounting standards.

    Responsibilities

    Lead the SEC reporting process including preparation and review of annual Form 10-K and quarterly Form 10-Q, including XBRL tagging;

    Ensures accurate presentation of financial statements and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and SEC rules, as well as consistent presentation with other public releases of financial data;

    Responsible for managing the compliance reporting, including annual audited standalone financial statements and unaudited quarterly results for multiple entities;  

    Calculates and forecasts basic and diluted weighted average shares outstanding for EPS calculations;

    Prepares the quarterly consolidated cash flow statement;

    Documents the Company’s annual and other asset impairment test analyses;

    Continuously monitor, document and communicate the development of new accounting standards, interpretations, and emerging guidance to the finance organization, including current and future impact on the Company;

    Evaluates accounting issues related to non-routine and complex transactions, including purchase accounting, conducting research to identify applicable accounting guidance and preparing position papers documenting issues, facts and conclusions;

    Assists with the review and documentation of certain revenue transactions;

    Partners with others in the organization, outside of finance, primarily legal, investor relations and treasury;

    Actively participates in the monthly close process, including review of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations; and

    Provide support to internal audit as part of the SOX compliance program.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master’s degree in Accounting preferred

    CPA required; 5+ years of experience; with at least 3 years of public accounting firm experience including senior associate responsibilities and working with public companies

    Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules

    Experience leading team projects ensuring deadlines are met and positive outcomes are achieved

    Proven ability to clearly and concisely document technical accounting matters and communicate financial impact to stakeholders

     

    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    Experience in a public company environment

    Proactive, detail-oriented, process-oriented, a self-starter, able to take responsibility and maintain high quality and accuracy in reporting with specific deadlines

    Strong organizational skills with proven ability to follow through on multiple tasks and priorities

    Ability to maintain and manage relationships across all levels of the organization

    Flexible and possess the ability to adapt to the Company’s frequently changing needs and priorities while continuing to meet deadlines

    Open to and able to adapt to process changes as continuous improvement in reporting efficiencies is a key focus of the accounting team
