    We are currently seek a Fuel Yard/ Boiler Operator to join our Biomass Co-Generation plant located at the Savannah River Site outside of Aiken SC.


    Responsible for daily operations including daily logs of fuel yard, boilers and turbine generator.

    Perform housekeeping duties, basic care routes and basic preventative maintenance of power plant equipment

    Drive a heavy equipment including, bob cat, fork lift, front end loader, and Lull.

    Operate controls of a Stacker – Reclaimer

    Operate power plant equipment in the field and in control room via DCS. Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, regulatory and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.

    Ensure environmental compliance in areas assigned.

    Perform other duties as required.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    High School diploma or GED.

    2 years’ experience with operations and troubleshooting of power plant equipment.


    Additional Preferred Qualifications:

    Must be able to obtain and maintain an entry badge to the Savannah River Site.

    Successfully complete position training and testing requirements.

    Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.

    Ability to lift up to 75 lbs & transport equipment & tools in excess of 300 lbs.

    Ability to routinely climb ladders, walk up and down sloped ramps and work on elevated platforms.

    Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.

    May be required for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.

    May be required to work rotating shift on days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
