    Ameresco has an opportunity for an Operations and Maintenance Manager to join our Federal Team based in Parris Island, Beaufort South Carolina.  Ameresco is looking for a highly motivated individual to provide hands on management of our maintenance team at the Parris Island Marine Base.  Ameresco has a 22-year contract with the Government to install and maintain HVAC improvements, PV Solar arrays, and a power plant consisting of a gas turbine generator, diesel generators, and low-pressure steam boilers.

    Responsibilities

    Work closely with the Government Customer to assure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of maintenance issues.

    Manage the maintenance team to ensure proper and timely routine preventative maintenance is performed

    Plan and execute semi annual and annual outages on the power plant equipment.

    Manage OEM service contracts of major equipment (generators, boilers, battery systems)

    Provide emergency maintenance services with maintenance team and/or contract maintenance services

    Maintain a critical spare parts inventory

    Monitor the Customer’s operation of equipment to ensure the equipment is operated correctly to prevent costly unnecessary maintenance.

    Maintain and track annual fiscal budget

    Perform routine staffing duties such as time card approvals, employee schedules, vacation schedules, and annual reviews.

    Performs related duties as required.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Fifteen years’ experience in industrial operations and maintenance.

     

    Additional Preferred Qualifications:

    Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

    Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel,

    May be required to pass security clearance investigation.

    Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident state

    Ability to work weekends and be on call for after hour work when required

    Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication, and presentation skills.

    Proficient computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
