We currently seek a Measurement and Verification (M&V) Analyst to provide technical expertise and ensure delivery of energy, water, and Operations and Maintenance savings for energy savings performance contracts (ESPC) on federal projects throughout the United States.
Verify energy and water savings for buildings/industrial facilities of new and existing projects.
Review bid/contract packages for quality assurance to identify M&V requirements.
Execute and coordinate M&V activities in coordination with the M&V team, Construction Manager, design engineer and commissioning agents/engineers during all project stages to assist in designing and implementing a permanent M&V infrastructure for continuous monitoring related to the energy and water performance of the project.
Review design documents, specifications, and construction submittals, including shop drawings of metering systems, to confirm all systems included meet the M&V requirements.
Review, analyze, advise, perform and manage Energy Performance Analysis including data collection from various software tools, sub-metering data analysis for end-use accounting, HVAC monitoring & Control data analysis, Backstock inventory, energy and water cost analysis.
Conduct and/or witness on-site spot measurements and short-term data collection during construction and post-retrofit periods.
Conduct site visits during construction & post-retrofit phase and prepare and present site visit reports.
Prepare and present site visit progress, savings performance results and M&V reports to client with the M&V Engineer.
Analyze energy management control systems including operational function and trend data to verify proper function.
Perform on-site trouble shooting and data logging to validate and correct project performance.
Work with client on-site staff to ensure operations and maintenance of assets/equipment are within contractual terms.
Participate in transition meetings with Project Engineers and/or Operations & Maintenance Team to ensure project scope, objectives, timeline and customer requirements have been achieved, and the start of the performance period is properly documented.
Maintain relationships with Operations & Maintenance Team regarding M&V staff needs.
Maintain M&V inspection records.
Perform the assigned duties with minimal supervision, while working in a team problem-solving environment.
Other duties as assigned/required.
Trade or vocational school
Minimum 1 year professional experience working with various types of meters, metering system software, building management system software and energy dashboards.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of M&V protocols and guidelines (ex: FEMP and IPMVP).
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide sound and reliable judgment in business solutions.
Basic project management, analytical and computer skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
