    Ameresco has new opportunity for a General Technician to join our Federal Maintenance Team based in Parris Island, Beaufort South Carolina.  Ameresco is looking for a highly motivated individual to perform multiple basic Preventative Maintenance (PM) task on a variety of equipment.  While the applicant must have a basic skill set, Ameresco will provide specific training on the Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks to be performed in a consistent and quality manner. 

    Responsibilities

    Perform basic Preventive Maintenance (PM) on HVAC systems including Chiller units on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.

    Make necessary adjustments and calibration of related control devices.

    Perform basic PM’s on solar panels, battery storage systems, and ventilation equipment.

    Perform checks on steam traps and repair and replace as required.

    Check chemical usage and adjust chemical feed as required.

    PM motors for vibration, temperature, and perform exterior cleaning

    Assist in Inventory control of light bulbs, plumbing fixture, motors, and other spare parts

    Assistance with maintenance, and repair of power plant equipment systems, and related power plant support equipment, including daily logs, preventive maintenance tasks, and reporting requirements.

    Frequently work from ladders, platforms, high places, and cramped spaces.

    Maintain customer satisfaction and exceed customers’ expectations

    Performs related duties as required.

    Ability to work over time and be on call for after hour work

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    GED or High School Diploma

     

    Additional Preferred Qualifications:

    Basic lighting and plumbing skills.

    Physical ability to bend, reach, climb, and lift 75+ lbs. without assistance.

    Valid  Driver’s License in good standing and drive a Company Vehicle

    Ability to work overtime and be on call for after hour work

    Must have knowledge of operating and servicing entire building and support systems including HVAC,

    Strong verbal, written, computer communication (MS Office) and interpersonal skills.

    Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines.
