Ameresco is currently seeking an Director Solar PV Project Development to work with Ameresco’s Solar PV Grid-Tie Development Team in the development and monitoring of solar PV projects. This position is located at our company headquarters in Framingham, MA.
Prepare annual and quarterly forecasts for the municipalities, universities, schools, and hospitals (MUSH) business area for proposals, awards, and contract closes.
Manage direct staff and coordinate with other Ameresco staff to frame, write, and develop clear, crisp, and compelling proposals to the MUSH market that drive sales awards and contracts.
Coordinate with our new market development staff and business analyst to assess and screen sales opportunities for economic, regulatory, and technical project feasibility.
Prepare financial Proformas for pricing Power Purchase Agreements.
Collaborate with Solar PV Engineers for project development, design, and construction activities.
Review and analyze key project details such as utility data, facility profiles, site drawings, and system operating data
Prepare reports on projects in development, construction, and operation
Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
Foster effective and positive business relationships with all parties throughout project phases.
Perform other duties as required
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science discipline, with a focus on Energy Efficiency and/or Renewable Technology preferred and proven academic accomplishment. Master’s Degree a plus, but not required.
Ability to lead business development team efforts within a cross-functional organization.
Proven experience framing and writing engineering, construction, or energy project proposals for MUSH customers is a plus.
Ability to read and understand complex energy regulations and to summarize the key parts of the regulations that affect market opportunities and sales growth.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel.
Excellent verbal, written, computer communication and presentation skills required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage staff with multiple priorities and business relationships.
Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
Ability to pass security clearance investigation.
