Ameresco is looking for a General Ledger Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience reconciling G/L accounts, providing detailed analyses, and supporting all internal accounting requirements. We are looking for students who want to apply their skills in a dynamic, collaborative environment, where the work is often fast-paced and challenging. This position is located in Framingham, MA.
Assist with downloading bank statements and reconciling cash accounts;
Prepare operating reports for debt covenant requirements;
Download invoices needed for prepaids & fixed assets analysis;
Assist with reconciling various general ledger accounts;
Roll forward analysis of balance sheet accounts;
Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing;
Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures;
Complete special projects and administrative tasks as needed; and
Perform other duties as required.
Junior level college education focusing on Accounting and/or Finance
Strong analytical skills
Attentive to details
Basic knowledge of Accounting and Financial Statements
MS Office proficiency with Excel and Word experience preferred
Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical data, spreadsheet, and organizational skills.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
