    Ameresco Asset Sustainability Group (ASG) provides business planning, capital/strategic planning and asset management software solutions/services to our customers throughout North America. ASG provides advisory/consulting services and a suite of innovative software tools that help our clients fund and improve schools, public housing, municipal buildings, hospitals, campuses, and commercial properties. The Project Manager will work directly with clients to help them establish capital planning processes for their facilities and capital assets, establish life cycle and operational maintenance & energy data, and implement Ameresco’s AssetPlannerTM software applications (Capital Planning, Maintenance Management, Energy Management) leading to Capital Creation Strategies / Alternative Funding solutions.

    Responsibilities

    Manage projects for a variety of clients, both public and private sector. Handle all aspects of the project from kick-off to completion, including: stakeholder communications (e.g. presentations, project updates, phone calls, emails, etc.); managing internal and external stakeholders and resources (including financial and human resources, external vendors/sub-consultants, etc.); managing project schedule and budget; issues management/stakeholder relationship management; risk management; managing and reporting out progress on project KPIs; the production of all required deliverables and executive summary/reporting documents; and presenting final results and reports;

    Provide advice and guidance to help clients establish processes for managing and maintaining their data stored within AssetPlanner™, as well as adjustments to their business processes that will feed into and utilize AssetPlanner™ data, such as: capital planning processes; managing capital planning data; quantifying capital renewal requirements; business cases for funding appropriation; quantifying asset performance; and asset optimization (e.g. maintenance, energy and building condition optimization, alignment to business strategy, etc.);

    Provide advice and guidance to potential and current clients in defining Ameresco Asset Sustainability Solutions (e.g. AssetPlanner™ software solutions, Consulting Services, etc.);

    Perform analysis of basic asset details, including data related to building structures and systems. Incorporate additional information related to utilization, energy use, maintenance practices, and redevelopment opportunities;

    Manage and assist with client phone interviews to gather information about their capital assets (e.g. Vertical/Linear/Polygonal/Mobile Assets, etc.). Manage and assist with the entry of data into Ameresco’s software platform;

    Manage and assist with quality assurance reviews of data from staff in the field to ensure the final product is in line with the project scope of work;

    Lead and support the creation and maintenance of the Project Management Framework and supporting Project Management toolkit;

    Lead and assist with on-going client support and relationship management, including technical support, maintaining active client touchpoints (post final delivery of AssetPlanner™ and/or Consulting Solutions);

    Manage and support on-line and in-person AssetPlannerTM training sessions;

    Support the business development process. Assist and/or manage the proposal development process, assist with sales strategy, and assist with the development of marketing collateral (case studies, references, client quotes, etc.);

    Test new functions and features before software is released.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or Engineering related field of study or Technical Diploma in Engineering/Building Science related field of study plus 5 years of Client-facing project management work experience.

    5 Years of Client-facing project management, working with complex data sets, establishing business processes; experience implementing IT and Software solutions a plus.

     

    Additional Preferred Qualifications:

    Engineering degree/certification, PMP certification a plus.

    Technical understanding of IT and Software systems, their implementation and subsequent management and active use.

    A base understanding of buildings and infrastructure, such as facilities management, condition assessments, engineering, building science, maintenance management, and energy management.

    Experience with Facilities capital planning processes; understanding of facility life cycle modeling.

    Technical Requirements: Advanced proficiency with MS Office products (especially Excel and Project), AutoCAD. Windows PC; tablet technology (iPad, Surface a plus); experience with facilities planning software such as AssetPlanner™, other Capital Planning systems is a plus.

    Demonstrated technical ability combined with the ability to work in a collaborative environment with end-users, clients and other members of the software development and implementation teams.

    Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.

    Ability to effectively manage and negotiate multiple priorities and priorities within an entrepreneurial setting, while fostering positive business relationships.

    Professional and courteous demeanor, team-player, interest in both technology and building systems, attentive to detail.

    Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by State of residence (travel to client sites will be required).
