    Ameresco is looking for an Engineering Assistant Intern to gain hands-on experience in distributed energy development at our project site in Cambridge, MA.


    Collaborate with Engineers and System Operators to provide support for engineering/design, operation/maintenance, and construction activities;
    Assist with the assessment and implementation of project requirements;
    Visit project sites to assess and document Combined Heat and Power Plants, building, mechanical/HVAC, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems;
    Investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation and water cost reduction measures;
    Provide assistance with engineering assessment including baseline profiles, end-use and retro-fit analysis;
    Assist in the preparation of technical content, proposals, analysis, feasibility reports;
    Assist in ensuring compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes;
    Foster effective and positive business relationships with all parties throughout project phases; and
    Perform other duties as required.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree focusing on electrical, mechanical, engineering, or industrial power, energy services, and renewable technology. Specific interest in energy technologies and the environment is a plus.




    Additional Preferred Qualifications:

    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    MS Office proficiency with advanced AutoCAD, Excel, and Word experience preferred

    Excellent verbal, written, computer, and presentation communication and organizational skills.

    Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables within fast paced, team project-oriented work environment.

    The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
