    Ameresco is looking for a full-time Engineering Assistant Intern to gain hands-on experience with opportunitites in Albany NY and Melville NY.  

    Responsibilities

    Determine customers’ technical requirements, identify and evaluate opportunities for energy efficiency.

    Gather key project details such as utility data, facility profiles, site drawings, and system operating data.

    Visit project sites to assess and document building, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems.

    Investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation and water cost reduction measures.

    Conduct detailed engineering analysis including baseline profiles, end-use analysis, retro-fit analysis.

    Prepare technical content, proposals, analysis, feasibility reports and provide critical peer review.

    Perform other duties as required

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Junior / Senior level student pursuing Bachelor Degree in Engineering discipline (with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, Energy Efficiency, and/or Renewable Technology preferred) OR Master of Energy Engineering candidate.  

     

    Additional Preferred Qualifications:

    Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information

    Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel.

    Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required.

    Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.

    Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing.

    U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
