    New internship opportunity for an Engineering Assistant to join Ameresco’s Renewable Energy Team based in Portland Maine. This opening is available 40 hours/ week during summer and part-time during school year months.

     

    Responsibilities

    Collaborate with Engineers to provide project support for development, design, and construction activities.
    Assist with evaluation of renewable energy project opportunities.
    Provide assistance with engineering assessment including baseline profiles, end-use and retro-fit analysis, site feasibility studies, preliminary design and reporting, energy modeling, AutoCAD drafting, scheduling and pricing activities.
    Prepare technical content, proposals, analysis, reports, and participate in critical peer review.
    Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
    Foster effective and positive business relationships with all parties throughout project phases.
    Perform other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    Junior/Senior level student pursuing Bachelor Degree in Engineering discipline, with a focus on Energy Efficiency and/or Renewable Technology preferred.

    Additional Preferred Qualifications

    Project or work experience within energy solutions or renewable technology environment desirable.
    Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information
    Proficiency with basic AutoCAD drafting, Google Sketchup, MS Excel and Project, PVSyst.
    Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills required.
    Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
    Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
    Travel may be required.
