    Responsibilities

    Ensure best in class negotiating, contracting, purchasing, supplier and customer service processes are in place for the procurement of material and equipment.

    Create, manage, and maintain relationships with key equipment venders within the energy markets.

    Leverage and optimize buying power via market conditions as a tool to drive cost reductions.

    Prepare and/or negotiates contract prices, terms, and conditions.

    Develop strategy for warranty and extended warranty plans

    Create and maintain project procurement plans, and assuring proper execution by supply chain throughout the entire project (initial estimates, orders and ongoing deliverables)

    Support Internal team with equipment performance issues in regard to contract terms

    Build high-performing relationships with internal colleagues in development, engineering, construction, and operations and maintenance.

    Perform other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum 7 years management experience in purchasing and/or procurement.

    Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field.

     

    Additional Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience and proficiency of all areas of procurement, including procurement execution, estimating, and expediting and is desirable.

    Energy industry experience is preferred

    Federal Procurement is considered a preference as well

    Understanding of the influence of market conditions on pricing.

    Demonstrated ability to improve processes and create efficiencies.

    Excellent oral, written, computer communication and presentation skills required.

    Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing.

    U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.

    Travel required.
