We currently seek an Associate HVAC Mechanic to join our Operations and Maintenance Team at McGuire, Air Force Base.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Assist with the operations and maintenance of steam boilers, drainage distribution systems; and other related equipment/systems as directed.

Assist other trades personnel and management personnel to maintain reliable utility service and efficient performance. 

Take equipment readings critical for operations, efficient performance, maintenance history, billing, etc. 

Compile logs, prepare reports, and enter data/information into computers as necessary. 

Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on various equipment as directed. 

Perform other duties as required. Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and safety standards, practices, codes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years' as an apprentice in the applicable trade.

High School, GED, technical training school, Associates Degree level graduate.

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Experienced in the installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of all components and/or systems (boilers, water treatment systems, controls, etc.) pertaining to the various utility generation and distribution systems noted above.

Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs & transport equipment & tools in excess of 300 lbs.

Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills.

Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.

U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.

May be required to pass DOT substance testing and/or security clearance investigation.

May require travel and flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.
