Responsibilities

Review EPC contracts to gain understanding of Ameresco’s M&V obligations.

Participates in the commissioning process to ensure that the Energy Management System (EMS) is functioning as intended.

Assists in the pre- and post-construction measurement of equipment installed by the Construction group.

Performs quarterly EMS inspections (remotely and on-site) and documents changes in the occupancy schedules and set-points.

Perform annual EMS inspections to ensure the equipment is operating in accordance with the contract requirements.

Obtains trend data from the (EMS) and retrieves data from light loggers.

Maintains positive customer relationships.

Specific prior experience in the following areas:

Operation of Building Automation Systems/Energy Management Systems

Knowledge of HVAC Systems and EMS Control Strategies

Commissioning of HVAC Systems and EMS

Trend Data Collection & Analysis

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Trade or vocational school

1 year progressive building automation controls and HVAC experience required, including installation, troubleshooting, operation, maintenance & repair.

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with building automation, integration, and HVAC systems typically used in Performance Contract projects.

Knowledge of Honeywell, Invensys, Andover Controls, JCI, Siemens or Tridium desired.

Familiarity with industry standard control, data collection and/or electronic and internet communication platforms such as Ethernet, Modbus, BacNet, Lonworks, and HTML

Strong verbal, written, technical language and computer communications skills. 

Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing

Must be willing to travel.  Travel will be extensive, at times reaching 50-60%

Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Must have strong communications skills, both oral and written.
