We currently seek a Project Engineer that will provide continuous initial support at a Federal client in Kittery, Maine that will require weekly visits to the jobsite. 


  • Work with project team to Determine customers’ technical requirements, identity and evaluate opportunities for energy efficiency and conservation measures;
  • Support the project development team and pre-construction by developing scopes of work, specifications, bid packages and preliminary engineering design of HVAC, mechanical and/or electrical systems;
  • Gather key project details such as utility data, equipment information and operations data, facility profiles and site drawings;
  • Perform Energy audits with the team to evaluate the existing mechanical, electrical and controls systems to identify and document existing conditions;
  • Conduct detailed engineering analysis including baseline energy usage profiles, retro-fit feasibility analysis; preliminary engineering design of mechanical and HVAC systems;
  • Prepare technical documents, such as customer proposals, energy savings calculations, subcontractor bid packages
  • Attend subcontractors walkthroughs with the project team
  • Support construction management during pre-bidding and into project implementation; including fielding subcontractor RFIs, reviewing technical submittals, facilitating engineering inspections and completing punch-lists
  • Support & participate  the commissioning of energy efficiency measures
  • Support ongoing performance assurance activities
  • Perform other duties as required.


US Citizen

Engineering degree preferably in mechanical or electrical

Minimum of 3 years experience of energy related or field engineer work – preferred 5 years

Proficient in Microsoft and project scheduling tools

May be required to pass security clearance investigation.

Travel may be required.
